Job Title: Media Specialist

Incumbent:

Classification: Seasonal

Reports to: Summer Staff Coordinators, Program Director

Position Purpose:

To further the mission of LOMC by digitally preserving campers activities during the week to share with their families and others the importance of camp in their lives.

General Ministry Responsibilities: 

    1. Live in and help foster Christian community.
    1. Maintain safe and clean environment.
  1. Seek to increase our care for creation.

Essential Job Functions:

Help with Sunday registration stations.

Take group photos on Monday.

Get photos developed and ready for the Friday Night Celebration.

Travel around the camp taking pictures of campers in action each day.

Download photos and/or stream video daily to Facebook and other means for parents to see them and the importance of camp in their lives

Create and edit a video which documents each camp that will be available for purchase.

Equipment Used:

Program Gator, Camp Van, Camera (own or provided by camp)

Relationships:

Direct relationships with Camp Counselors, Maintenance Department, Kitchen Staff, Lifeguards

Qualifications:

Must be 16 years of age or older.

Must have a valid driver’s license.

Must submit a health history record prior to first day of work.

Must be able to obtain or become certified in First Aid/CPR.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of LOMC grounds will be required.

Knowledge of LOMC and its mission.

Ability to work well with others.

Physical Requirements:

Endurance to be on your feet and on the go while working irregular camp hours.

Willing to live in a camp setting during the week (not required if local) with limited or simple equipment and facilities; and with daily exposure to the sun, heat, and bugs.

Applicants under 18 years of age will be required to leave camp Friday evening and return Sunday afternoon.
