Donor Spotlight: Bob and Sue Gingras
This edition, we’d like to give thanks and praise for the many gifts of time and treasures the Gingras family has bestowed upon LOMC over the years. Bob has served on our LOMC Board of Directors for 10 years, and has been the Property Committee Chairperson for that entire time. Most recently, he served in the capacity of both the Nominating Committee Chairperson for new board members and on the Search Committee to find and interview our new Executive Director.
With a degree in Construction Management from Colorado State University, Bob brings his knowledge, experience and skillset to camp on a consistent basis on all things construction and facility upkeep, donating all he has to offer. He and wife Sue have been faithful givers financially, but also with in-kind donations. Just this year, they have provided the camp with:
- 2 picnic benches
- 20 gallon air compressor
- 7’ step ladder
- New American flag for our pole in front of the main office
- 10 beautifully crafted wood benches handmade by Bob himself! These benches were originally built for just the archery range, but Bob enjoyed it so much he built 5 more (10 total) to place around camp.
Sue Gingras has volunteered her time at Autumn Fest, Memorial Day Work Weekend and also our one-week Camp Grandparents, where our Grandmas read to our day campers and assist in their daily activities for a week. What a blessing Bob and Sue have given us in sharing their talents and treasures. We are so grateful, and we invite others to join them in sharing any gifts of service or treasures you would be willing to offer!
