Fall High School Retreat 2019

2019 Fall High School Retreat Boasts 50 Participants

We were having a hard time remembering the last time LOMC held a high school retreat and we were overjoyed to have around 50 high school youth and adults participate in the “Choices” weekend retreat.

The following churches attended:

  • First Lutheran (Geneseo)
  • Geneva Lutheran (Geneva)
  • Holy Trinity Lutheran (Elgin)
  • Shepherd of the Hill Lutheran (Lockport)
  • St. John’s Lutheran (Sterling)

The retreat focused on making wise choices by relying on scripture, prayer and discernment from God. The one-night retreat featured great speakers, activities, team building, karaoke, dancing, laughs, prayer, worship and more. We especially would like to thank the following speakers for sharing some great ideas and stories about making wise choices:

  • Michelle Heinrich (LOMC Program Director)
  • Justin Wilson (ELCA National Youth Gathering Program Associate)
  • Callie Arendt (YAGM alum and Wartburg Seminary student)
  • Jeanine Pitman (Thrivent Financial)

Be sure to keep on the lookout for future retreats at LOMC!
