A Heartfelt Thank You
Thank you for the amazing opportunity to serve God in the outdoor ministry at LOMC for the past 4 years! It has been an honor and a challenge, both of which have helped me grow into this profession that I love in helping people steward their God-given gifts. I will take with me greater knowledge of development and many fond memories of the camp and people that have walked alongside me in all my endeavors.
Thank you, LOMC Board of Directors, for supporting any new ideas that I threw your way; thank you for being receptive to calls of action; and thank you for your incredible time and prayers. Thank you LOMC staff members for putting up with my fast-talking and frequent, demanding needs. Thank you to ALL for appeasing my love for the “gift of gab”! I’m sure I have made my Swedish grandmother, Gunhild Schelin, proud as that was her gift passed down to me.
God often uses some gift or resource we already possess as the catalyst for change and growth when we put what is in our hands in His hands. As ambassadors for Christ, my prayer is that you all continue to use your God-given gifts for His glory too. God appeals to the world through your life and your involvement with LOMC and any role where you serve. As a result, we have a front-row seat to all that God can do. Press on, Ambassadors for Christ! It’s been a pleasure serving with you.
“We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” ~2 Corinthians 5:20-21
