Pedal for a Purpose Celebration

Everyone is invited to help support the Central Southern Illinois Synod’s 6th Pedal for a Purpose fundraiser to raise $25,000 for Lutheran Outdoor Ministry Center of Oregon, IL.

The opportunity to support this effort will run for 2 more months through August and September, culminating with a big celebration on Saturday, September 29.

As of this communication, $10,000 has been raised by the CSIS, but we need your help to push us to our goal. All funds raised will go towards new siding and remodeled bathrooms in the 6 bunkhouses/meeting facilities in Timbers and Meadows villages for the guests of LOMC to enjoy for many years to come.

Please consider taking a special offering or utilizing some of your congregation’s outreach funds for this effort.

Join us on Saturday, September 29, at LOMC to celebrate and give thanks to God and all efforts towards this appeal. A full, fun day is planned kicking off with a beautiful bike ride through Ogle County!

Below is a brochure for the event, and here is a schedule of the day:

9:00 a.m. – 25-mile bike ride through beautiful Ogle County.

12:00 p.m. – Lunch at LOMC

1:00 p.m. – Celebrate “Pedal for a Purpose” success

1:30 p.m. – Worship with pastors Karyn Kost and Adam Dichsen

2:45 p.m. – Tour of bunkhouses to see where the money will be used

We hope you can participate in one way or another, either by helping us reach our financial goal or coming to celebrate with us in person.  Thank you for joining in this opportunity to “be church together for the sake of the world!”

God bless,
Adriana Plocinski, Development Director
