Swing Choir Tour

Lutheran Outdoor Ministries Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Graddy as 2011 Swing Choir Tour Director and Accompanist. Michael, his wife Karin and their three children are members of Salem Lutheran Church, Sycamore. He is a graduate of Northern Illinois University, DeKalb. Michael and family have been frequent guests at LOMC for family camps and retreats.  He was active in choirs and musicals throughout his school years. Michael is an accompanist and vocalist for many community events and churches and was accompanist for the Wesley Tour Choir at NIU. He is CFO of Graddy Solutions, a web design and consulting firm he co-owns with his wife. Michael is excited about the opportunity to accompany and direct the LOMC Swing Choir tour and continue the tradition of swing choir performances for more than 25 years.

Brandi Peters will be the Choreographer. Brandi is a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Clifton where her stepfather serves as pastor. She is a freshman at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She has danced for 13 years in ballet, tap, jazz, pointe and hip-hop. She is an alumnus of the LOMC Swing Choir Tour. At Carthage Brandi participates in Belly Dancing and numerous clubs and organizations including intramural soccer and sand volleyball. Brandi plans to major in athletic training and go on for a masters degree in Physical Therapy.

The 2011 Swing Choir tour will begin July 21 and do twelve concerts over a nine day period. . The Choir will perform at the following Lutheran churches: First, Dekalb; First, Ohio; St. Mark, Aurora; Living Hope, Frankfort; St. Paul, Sterling; Peace, New Lenox; Messiah, Park Ridge; St. Mark, Washington and  Salem, Moline.  The  Swing Choir will conclude the tour at Trinity, Harvard on July 29.

We welcome Michael and Brandi to the LOMC family and look forward to their leadership in 2011.
